The 2023 SilverSneakers Member of the Year Award
The prestigious 19th annual award honors SilverSneakers® members nationwide who positively impact and inspire the lives of others through healthy behaviors, physical activity, and community involvement.
2023 Award Details
- Anyone can nominate a current SilverSneakers member for the award by submitting that member’s inspirational story. Previous Member of the Year winners are not eligible to win again.
- A Tivity Health® committee selects the top 10 nominees and publishes their stories on SilverSneakers.com/MOYAward.
- Once voting is open, anyone can vote once per day on SilverSneakers.com/MOYAward.
- The national winner is announced on SilverSneakers.com/MOYAward

From May 15 through 26, nominate a SilverSneakers member for this prestigious award.
Yes, you can even nominate yourself.
A nominee is someone with an inspiring story about the impact SilverSneakers has had on his or her life, and who encourages and motivates others to live a healthy, active lifestyle. For example, the 2022 winners were Mary and Larry St. Germain. After Mary’s knee replacement, her doctor attributed her ability to bounce back quickly to her activity with SilverSneakers and encouraged her to get back to it. Larry is affectionately called “Batman” throughout the community as he dresses up as the superhero to entertain schools and church fairs, even working with Make-A-Wish Foundation. This superhero couple embodies wellness through movement and community involvement, and is an inspiration to all who meet them.

The committee selects the top 10 nominees, and their stories will be shared right here on our website during the voting period.
Online voting
June 19 – 30
Starting June 19, read the 10 finalists’ stories and vote for your favorite. You can vote once per day, and voting closes June 30.
Winner Announced
July 17
The National Winner will be announced on SilverSneakers.com/MOYAward and Facebook.com/SilverSneakers on July 17.
